I don't know what patches you are referring to because 38 Studios creator of KOA never released a patch for this game. They were in the process of releasing a PC only patch but the company was shutdown before the patch was released. As Nasteeman stated, most glitches that people incur can be undone by reloading a previous save.
The only game breaking glitch that might cause you to start the game back from scratch is breaking the red crystals by accident while exploring and you don't have any saves prior to this. I have a hour plus game save, and I have not run into any game breaking glitches so far. Might be referring to trophy patch for the DLC. User Info: sicko26us. The story of this game's developer and IP is tragic. The game is awesome, although I thought the final boss battle was pretty dumb and WAY too easy, and the blacksmithing tops out a little early. I'd love to see what a modding community could do with this game. Basically this is the game Fable should have been.
