Tessanne Chin brought the title back to Team Adam after three consecutive seasons with Team Blake, causing their rivalry to heat up even more. Usher later returned as a mega mentor for season 19 of the show. Blake Shelton brought the title back home after two seasons away with country singer Craig Wayne Boyd.
Season 8 marked the first time Pharrell Williams won as a coach on The Voice with the help of musician Sawyer Fredericks. Fredericks was just 16 years old when he took home the title and he set the iTunes sales record for the series when he was on the show. Adam Levine loved Jordan Smith from the time of his first audition, and he brought the title of The Voice back to Team Adam for the third time.
Fans love Smith, as his recordings reached the top of the iTunes charts throughout the season. Alison Porter won the show under the coaching of Christina Aguilera. We saw this shine the most with Hannah Huston, who had quite the range of songs but did them all so well. She really stood out week after week! Not a great start! But Christina redeemed herself in future seasons of the show, most memorably with winner Alisan Porter and runner-up Jacquie Lee.
We really saw her grow a lot from her audition to the Finale. Christina did well with voices similar to hers and was able to select songs to challenge them and showcase their vocals. But when we saw Christina excel, she really rose to the top.
I also just loved how enthusiastic she was and how she remained positive but acknowledged and addressed mistakes when they happened. This girl is on fiiiiiire! But really, Alicia has been killing it on The Voice so far. In her three season, she has had a winner, a runner-up, and a third-place finisher.
She is well-spoken and able to convey how she feels about performances in a way that only she can. She brought out the best in all of them! Similarly, Usher has a great track record of getting his team to the Finale.
In the two seasons he coached, Usher had a runner-up in Michelle Chamuel and a winner in Josh Kaufman. Maybe he decided to quit while he was ahead? I thought he was another great addition to the coaching panel because he was more reserved and cool too, but clearly knew what he was doing.
Instead, he won by silently pulling his artists to the top. I would say that both Michelle and Josh came out of nowhere at the beginning to finish in the top two, beating out other fan favorites on those seasons. Oh and he definitely had the freshest kicks the show has ever seen. Kelly brought a dynamic new energy to Season Offers may be subject to change without notice.
The Voice. Has The Voice produced any stars? NBC's The Voice just wrapped its 19th season, which saw Gwen Stefani rejoining the panel as a coach for her fifth season.
Over the reality singing competition's history, Blake Shelton remains the statistically best coach in terms of winning seasons -- having crowned a champ from his team in seven of the show's 19 seasons. Shelton is the only coach to have stayed on the rotating panel since the beginning of the hit show.
The first season of The Voice featured a group of coaches that would remain the same until the third season. Hosted by Carson Daly, the first season, which was filled with performances from amateur contestants as well as the coaches, saw Adam Levine's team crowned as neo-soul singer Javier Colon beat out Dia Frampton to win the competition. Paul proved his musical talent prior to appearing on the show: the soul singer was co-nominated with future Voice coach Alicia Keys at the 48th Grammys for best performance by a duo or group with vocals.
Paul crowning moment would bring coach Blake Shelton to his first of a three consecutive wins in the next few seasons. Advantage Team Blake. The change in coaches did not seem to cause any disturbance for the Blake Shelton train, which churned on and landed its third consecutive Voice victory.
Danielle Bradbery , a country singer from Houston, won the season 4 title, which at the time made the year-old the youngest winner in Voice history. The fifth season saw the coaching roster return to its original cast. Usher and Shakira made their way back to the spinning red chairs in season 6. The Confessions singer did more than just return, however: he claimed his first victory for Team Usher, coaching Josh Kaufman , a performer from Florida to the crown.
At 38, Kaufman became the oldest contestant to ever win The Voice. After being dropped by original coach Adam Levine, the soul singer was picked up by Usher.
