Any opened packs or jars of gulp I have always seem to dry up considerably. What is your best method for storing opened packs? Also, do you ever combine the packs to have more juice and just make it simpler to store.
Dec 23, 3, 2, , it should be obvious. Lep will undoubtedly chime in hopefully. I have not bought bait in over a decade, except for a bucket or two of clam bellies, using Gulp exclusively for fluke and weaks.
What blues I have caught were on Gulp or livelining. I bought several of these Amazon. They don't leak like the original containers. I find that the original Gulp alive seems better for catching than the Gulp in the bags, and I also acquired some of those "rejuvenating" bottles of Gulp juice that stinks about the same. I mix pink and white and chartreuse grubs, Gulp "Alive" and from bags , curly tails and shrimp and never have any "bled" into another and obviously mix their juices as well.
Edited to add: Mainly fishing from my yak, and a half dozen times a season from boats, and rarely more than a mile out from the inlet, I use "smaller" Gulp, never exceeding 5" and on bucktails. Nice big opening to get your hand in and they don't leak. I do add them to the container but usually keep 6" grubs with the same do the same with shrimp and mullets. A quick google search. After doing some pretty extensive research and reading seemingly every message board discussing Gulp! The few people that are against Gulp! Here are a few quotes from anglers on either side of the argument finding negative ones were tough :.

My favorite DOA lure has to be their shrimp. The action they have is almost unparalleled. Z-man is another top-notch soft plastic company who also has a really unique plastic structure. They are on the opposite end of the spectrum from Gulp!. Whereas Gulp! In fact, they are one of the few soft plastics that actually catch loads of fish even while dead-sticking the bait literally leaving it on the bottom for the fish to find via the scent. And the Gulp baits certainly have their pros and cons as you saw above just like any fishing lure on the market.
Overall, Gulp! Note: to learn a great trick for using Gulp! There does NOT exist a magic bait that can draw fish in from across the bay, lake, grass flat, etc. However, if you can identify when and where the fish are feeding, I can almost guarantee they will hit a Berkley Gulp! The salesman at BCF recommended the swimming mullet in green prawn colour in both 3 and 4 inch sizes. At the mouth of a mangrove creek I caught a grunter, several bream and a fingermark in about an hour using them. I was amazed to say the least having dismissed soft plastics as a con job. I am now hooked on Gulp.
